SteerAds Affiliate Program — Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

These Terms govern your participation in the SteerAds Affiliate Program. By submitting an application or using your tracking link, you agree to these Terms in full. SteerAds ("we", "us") reserves the right to update them with 30 days' notice; continued participation after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• You may apply as an individual or on behalf of a registered company.
• You may not be a direct competitor of SteerAds (Optmyzr, Opteo, Adalysis, WordStream, etc.) or an employee thereof.
• You may not be the SteerAds-owning entity of a customer account at the time of attribution (no conflict-of-interest self-referrals).

3. Approval and suspension

Applications are reviewed manually. We reserve the right to approve, reject or suspend any application or active affiliate at our sole discretion, with or without cause. Suspension stops new commissions immediately but does not remove previously earned commission that is already in the payout queue.

4. Prohibited practices

The following are grounds for immediate termination AND forfeiture of any unpaid commission accrued in connection with the prohibited activity:

• PPC bidding on our brand keywords. You may not run paid ads on Google, Bing, Meta or any other platform that target "SteerAds", "Steer Ads", "SteerAds.com" or close variants. Indirect brand-jacking via display campaigns counts.
• Cookie stuffing. No iframe-loading, popunder, click-jacking, or any forced exposure to your tracking link that the visitor didn't deliberately request.
• Unsolicited bulk email. You must respect CAN-SPAM, GDPR and any other applicable email-marketing law. No purchased lists, no scraped emails, no sending from spoofed addresses.
• Self-referral. You may not sign up to SteerAds using your own affiliate slug. Our system blocks this at the database layer; circumventing the block forfeits all related commission.
• Misleading claims. No statements about SteerAds capabilities, results or pricing that you can't substantiate with a source from steerads.com or a SteerAds-published case study.
• Voucher / coupon sites. Posting your tracking link on coupon-aggregator or cashback sites requires our prior written approval. Without approval, conversions from such sources are voided.
• Trademark misuse. Our logo and name may not be used in a way that implies official partnership, employment or endorsement beyond "SteerAds Affiliate".
• Domain squatting. You may not register typo or look-alike domains (e.g. "steer-ads.com", "steerads.io") to redirect traffic to your link.

5. Commission

• Rate: 20% recurring on every monthly invoice the referred customer pays, for as long as their subscription stays active. The rate is set per-affiliate and snapshotted on the conversion row at attribution time — later rate changes do not apply retroactively.
• Attribution: first-touch, 90-day cookie window. The first affiliate to send the visitor to a SteerAds URL with their ?aff= link is credited; subsequent links from other affiliates within the window are ignored.
• Eligible payments: only paid Paddle invoices that survive any refund / chargeback window count. If a referred customer charges back or is refunded within 14 days of the invoice, the corresponding commission is reversed automatically.
• Ineligible: free-tier signups, trial periods, internal SteerAds team accounts, and accounts opened by you for yourself.

6. Payouts

• Minimum: €100 accrued balance to request a payout.
• Methods: Wise, PayPal, SEPA bank transfer, or international bank transfer. You choose at request time; we may decline a method that doesn't make sense for your country.
• Processing time: requests are settled manually within 5 business days. The external transaction reference is surfaced in your dashboard once paid.
• Refusal: we may reject a payout request if the coordinates are wrong, the beneficiary name doesn't match, or fraud is suspected. The accrued balance stays earned — you can re-request after fixing the issue.
• Currency: commission accrues in EUR. Conversion to your local currency happens at the payment provider's rate at transfer time.

7. Refunds and chargebacks

If a referred customer is refunded by SteerAds within 14 days of an invoice, the corresponding commission line is reversed. If the customer charges back at any time, the commission is reversed even if already paid out — in that case we deduct the amount from the next payout, or invoice you if no future payout is in sight.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time, with or without cause, by emailing partners@steerads.com or via the dashboard. On termination:

• Accrued unpaid commission above €100 is paid out within 30 days through your last-used method.
• Accrued unpaid commission below €100 is forfeited unless you specifically request a final payout, in which case we deduct any transfer fees from the balance.
• Existing referred subscriptions stop accruing commission immediately on termination, even if they remain active customers afterwards.
• These Terms survive termination to the extent necessary for refund reversals, audit and final settlement.

9. Independent contractor relationship

You participate in this program as an independent contractor. Nothing here creates an employment, agency, joint-venture or partnership relationship. You are responsible for your own taxes, your own equipment, and your own compliance with any law that applies to your activity.

10. Confidentiality

Information shared with you in your capacity as an affiliate — including but not limited to API keys, sandbox credentials, unreleased product information and pricing roadmaps — is confidential. You may not disclose it to third parties without our prior written consent. This obligation survives termination.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteerAds is not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your participation in this program. Our total liability is capped at the amount of commission paid to you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
